Seattle based R & B vocalist Lainey Lou is a singer songwriter with songs based on a humble approach to the life around her. Although her music is indie based, the arrangements are much more complex, from soft electronica, jazz and pop, and her melodic breathy vocals and lyrics support the audience she'd gained. Lainey Lou born in California grew up in a small town in Washington where she still resides. She started singing around age sixand within a year began performing for local talent shows, events and school performances. Her parents gave her the courage to continue performing and belive that anything was possible. With Lainey Lou's dream of being a singer she took piano lessons in her forth grade year wanting to learn more about music. After a year her piano teacher and mom both decided that she learned by ear Lainey Lou didn't continue lessons. During the summer before entering High School Lainey Lou attended PCA, a band camp where young musicians were paired into a band, based on music experience and the genre that interested them. After that summer camp, almost by miracle, Lainey Lou wrote her first song on piano; and a few months after, another. Freshman year she performed at her schools talent show performing her own Compilation "Enderly" and took honors. With the help of her parents she found Rainmaker Studios a place to record her music at. The songs on her discs are a story of her high school life, and other peoples life's around her. She finished recording her first album "Convey" June 2009 and is currently working on another to release Spring 2011. She sings to show that anything is possible with a little leap of faith, anything can be accomplished.
