　　巴西导演的好莱坞首秀

　　本片导演黑特尔·达利亚出生在巴西。成年之后就在巴西展开了自己的导演生涯。他算得上是巴西影坛的新秀，也算得上是一个杰出的导演。黑特尔·达利亚基本能胜任各种题材的电影，他在巴西拍摄的三部电影：《黑眼圈》、《下水道的气味》和《随波逐流》就涵盖了惊悚、喜剧和剧情三种类型。更重要的是，无论是巴西国内还是国际影坛，对这三部电影的评价都不俗。而且，《随波逐流》一片还入选了戛纳电影节的一种关注单元。这么杰出，而且这么有潜质的导演，好莱坞自然是不会放过的。在戛纳崭露头角之后，好莱坞便将其招致麾下，于是这就有了他在好莱坞的第一部电影《踪迹难寻》。
　　谈及在好莱坞的工作和自己的影片，黑特尔·达利亚说：“好莱坞是全球电影人都向往的地方，因为这里有着别的国家没有的庞大的电影工业和令人难以置信的工作人员。尤其是摄制人员的专业性，这里是全球首屈一指的。能在这里工作，这是我的荣幸。我在这里拍的这部电影，讲述的是一个努力从废墟上建立起自己新的生活的女孩。当她发现之前的梦魇一直无法离去时，她自然要奋起，然后倒戈一击。在我的眼中，这是一个女权主义者的故事，因为在故事里，男人是作为陪衬出现的，既无能，又是反派。我希望在自己的电影中，能加入一些好莱坞没有的特色，比如那些对主角以往生活的描绘，对她个性的塑造等等。我并不想把这部电影拍摄成一部完全的、纯粹的惊悚片。如果拍摄成了那样的电影，那么肯定不会有太多的人喜欢这个片子，因为这样的惊悚片，之前已经有太多太多的先例了。所以我想加入我自己的特色，那种比较奇异的拍摄手法，异常的讲述故事的方式等等。在拍摄这部电影的时候，我会恍惚间觉得我回到了很多年前，拍摄《黑眼圈》的现场。的确，这两部电影是有些相似之处的。”

　　新鲜的感觉

　　虽然是来到好莱坞拍摄的第一部电影，但是这部影片还是吸引到了阿曼达·塞弗里德、珍妮弗·卡彭特和塞巴斯蒂安·斯坦这样的当红明星。谈到影片为什么会有这么大的吸引力的时候，制片人加里·卢切西说：“这个来自巴西的导演确实给这部电影带来不少新鲜的元素，他的工作方法、说故事的方式，和好莱坞的导演还是很不一样的。而且，我们把外景地放在了亚特兰大，这里很少会有剧组光临。所以，这里的环境、人文和城市给人们的感受，也是很新鲜的。可能是这种新鲜的感觉，吸引到了不少当红的明星加入了剧组。阿曼达·塞弗里德无疑是这里面最当红的一个，她对待工作非常认真，也很敬业。整部戏都是围绕着她来讲述的，而且还要在极短的时间内表达出她以往的生活，这点难度很大。不过，塞弗里德的确很有天赋，她的表演很棒。”
　　谈及和一个巴西导演合作，阿曼达·塞弗里德笑着说自己没有去过巴西，但是她很喜欢南美人。她说：“黑特尔·达利亚是一个充满了热情和激情的导演，他对待工作的热情和那种执着劲，都像极了我们印象中的热情奔放的南美人。拍摄这部电影的过程中，达利亚知道如何用一种非好莱坞的方式来塑造悬念。指导方面，他很喜欢让演员自己去发挥和塑造，而不是他来告诉我们该怎么做。他只是告诉我们，人物在这个时候的心态和之前的经历，然后让我们自己去揣摩人物的心理和应该呈现出的表演的模样。”
　　对于阿曼达·塞弗里德的表演，黑特尔·达利亚说：“我没有想到一个这么年轻的女演员竟然能有如此强大的爆发力和表现力。在她的表演中，我看到了一种原始的力量，这样的感觉和这个人物相匹配，那么一种不顾一切要找回自己妹妹和自己来之不易的正常生活的劲头，是我在这部电影和这个人物上最需要的。
